KC's DPT

Yesterday me,my wife and KC went to our brgy. center. KC is scheduled to inject her first DPT immunization.Some says that if DPT was inject our baby will get a fever. But its true i prove it last night because KC got a fever. Too sorry for that. Its too hard to take care of KC because she's always crying.Hope this day shell be fine.We gave her medicine so that the pain will be free.

G6PD Positive

Yesterday i recieved a mail from LBC,its about KC's confirmatory test of G6PD. Im so sad about the result because my daugther is really positve in G6PD. Well thats life, i will accept that. Me and my wife will give our daugther a gene therapy, G6PD is not that serious. There are so many reminders for G6PD deficiency. As parents i should prevent hemolytic crisis, foods,drugs and other chemicals have list that must to be avoided.Well i will post it my next post.

G6PD Confirmation Test

Last Tuesday me,my wife and our daughter KC went to Newborn Screening Center at Ermita,Manila. There was many babies there, there are different babies that have been positive in different disorders of Newborn Screening. The result will be released at Dec. 12,2007. KC’s result will be mailed. I paid 100 pesos for that. Hope that the result of confirmation will be negative.

Newborn Screening

Last Nov. 22,2007 I received a call from queen mary hospital about KC’s new born screening, the laboratory said that KC has positive in one of the of the five disorders in Philippine newborn screening program. I was so afraid,when the nurse said that it is not critical I become calm. The pediatrician told me that there will be confirmatory test. Tomorrow me and my wife will go to PGH for the confirmatory test.

These are five disorders being screened

1. Congenital hypothyroidism (CH) – lack or absence thyroid hormone,if not detected or treated can cause from mental retardation.
2. Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) – is an endocrine disorder that causes severe salt loss,dehydration and abnormally high levels of male sex hormones in both boys and girls. If not detected and treated early babies my die
3. Galactosemia (GAL) – is a condition in which babies are unable to process galactose, the sugar present in milk. Accumulation of excessive galactose in the body can cause many problems,including liver damage and cataracts.
4. Phenylketonuria (PKU) – is a rare condition in which the baby cannot properly use of one building blocks of protein called pheylalaline. Accumulation of excessive of pheylalaline in the blood can cause brain damage.
5. Glucose-6-Phospate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD) - is a condition where the body lacks the enzyme called G6PD. Babies with this deficiency may have hemoclytic anemia resulting from exposure to oxidative substances found in drugs,food and chemicals.

Glucose-6-Phospate Dehydrogenase Deficiency (G6PD) is where KC is positive, hopefully in confirmtory test she will be negative.Pediatician said that if positive KC will be going for diet treatment

Baby Clothes, Basic Layette, Feeding and Bedding Needs

Baby really need in the first weeks at home? The answer is - not much. This baby needs checklist will help you choose the basic baby items, often called a layette, that a baby needs to have in the first precious weeks of life.
Baby Needs: Clothing and Layette

5-10 onesies or rompers, depending on how often you want to do laundry
5-7 baby sleepers or nightgowns
1 cold weather sleeper if necessary
5-7 pairs of baby socks
1-2 newborn hats, depending on climate

2 packs of disposable diapers or enough cloth diapers for at least two days. Newborns can soil up to 10 diapers per day.

Red Alert

When KC’s crying we noticed that she’s always turning into a reddy face, I was so afraid when she’s crying. Some says that it’s dangerous, some says its normal.We gave her milk when she’s crying or take her up. Then she’ll stopped crying.Me and my wife take care of her a lot.KC’s need more supervisions.

Breastfeeding

Mae’s tried to breastfeed but her nipple is flat or inverted. KC cant suck it.Mae’s nipple need to be pull.Every morning she exercised it. Breastfeeding is the best choice for baby. Breastmilk changes naturally to more baby’s nutritional needs at each stage of development. However, breastfeeding isn’t always easy. It might need a little help.

My First Baby has Born

Last Sunday I woke up early in the morning to play basketball, I saw my wife and said to me that there’s something liquid form are leaking her #*$%!. I quickly tell my mom that there’s something leaking,Mom says its natural,at exactly 10am me and my wife decided to go in our OB.When we was there the midwife called quickly our OB,then our OB came,She observed mae for many hours,after waiting for many hours, ourOb said that mae will have a czesarian operation,I was shock because I knew it was normal delivery,you know, czesarian was very expensive,then I called my mom that mae’s is having czesarian. At exactly 6:00pm my and our OB went to the Queen Mary Hospital to go for czesarian operation. 6:36pm my first baby has born.Im so happy to see my first baby. She’s very beautiful of course.Hehehe. After 2 ½ days of recovery our OB decided that we can go home.Im so happy that we will go back home.

Processor Bugs

Processor manufacturers use specialized equipment to test their own processors, but you have to settle for a little less. The best processor-testing device to which you have access is a system that you know
is functional; you then can use the diagnostics available from various utility software companies or your system manufacturer to test the motherboard and processor functions. Companies such as Diagsoft, Symantec, Micro 2000, Trinitech, Data Depot, and others offer specialized diagnostics software that can test the system, including the processor. If you don’t want to purchase this type of software, you can perform a quick-and-dirty processor evaluation by using the diagnostics program supplied with your system.Perhaps the most infamous of these bugs is the floating-point division math bug in the early Pentium processors. This and a few other bugs are discussed in detail later in this chapter. Because the processor is the brain of a system, most systems don’t function with a defective processor. If a system seems to have a dead motherboard, try replacing the processor with one from a functioning motherboard that uses the same CPU chip. You might find that the processor in the original board is the culprit. If the system continues to play dead, however, the problem is elsewhere, most likely in the motherboard, memory, or power supply. I must say that in all my years of troubleshooting and repairing PCs, I have rarely encountered defective processors. A few system problems are built in at the factory, although these bugs or design defects are rare. By learning to recognize these problems, you can avoid unnecessary repairs or replacements. Each processor section describes several known defects in that generation of processors, such as the infamous floating-point error in the Pentium.

Excited to be a Father

I want to share this to you…as you know Im a spectant father soon,me and mae are really excited. Since it was our first baby I always featured of how does she look like,is her nose pointed,how about her complexion,her eyes etcetera.but above all matters,her condition is our concern.we hope she’s healthy and normal and I hope mae will have a safe delivery.because anytime of this moment “pwede na sya manganak”. .Hope our baby will be fine .

Rainy Day

This day a rainy day,i always do the same day that i used to..most of the time i woke as early as 530 in the morning and then i will check my blog and surfing the net,when mae will get up thats the time that i will cook breakfast for us.mae never cook!not that she doesnt know how to cook its just shes not a good cook anyway.were 3 months married now and i still had no work,i always apply in the internet but everytime they call me to report i refused it because its agency and how much will i take home if im under the agency?now that im a family man i must give the needs of my family...

Mosquito Attack

Yesterday we started to clean up our house and set aside things that will make disturb the workers.Including our bedroom,when we transfer to the other room,it’s a mess lots of things inside there,its like a “bodega”.I cleaned it up just to have enough space for me and mae, we have a cable tv,and a little bed just fit for mae because she’s 9 months pregnant, so where am I?I sleep in the folded foam with a feet hang in.Since the window’s were screened it never stop the mosquito to scape,just when we thought there’s wasn’t any mosquito,when we turn off the light,it started to bite us.’Sobrang nakakainis’!everytime,we spank our face just to kill the mosquito….haay…I hate it specially when it buzz to my ears...

Explosion at Glorietta

I just heard the news yesterday noon,that Glorietta Mall has explode.There was 8 dead, 100 hurt in suspected terror attack at Makati mall. A powerful blast, believed to be caused by a bomb, rocked a crowded shopping mall in Manila's financial district about 1:30 p.m. Friday, killing at least eight people and injuring more than a hundred others. The explosion caused extensive damage throughout the Glorietta 2 shopping complex in Makati City, toppling roofs, destroying walls, and sending debris crashing onto cars outside.

Last Sunday,out of nowhere we came out of our mind going to mall,and to make a sense ate chette want to buy a miss USA costume to her daughter for the united nation.After going to pasig the brum family ended up going to market market.ate feng said that there’s a havaianas store near there,it’s a chance for us to buy that popular signature flip flops.mae and I brought a pair of blue one for me and a brown for mae.havaianas rock! If only the newborn can wear the baby havaianas we buy a pair of one(hahahah). And what happened to the costume?well,it ended up In buying a cloth to make a costume…...

House Renovation

A 30 years old house is absolutely need a renovation,because of its old fashioned style.that’s why my mom decided to make a whole change of our house since its kinda big,me and my mom decided to make it duplex,half of it is for me,my wife and our future baby and half is for my mother alone with the atic.

After making the steel bar for roofing instead of wood,now its in the process of putting the roof which is color orange like mommy’s car Chevrolet spark color.

Well thanks to father and son Mang Danny and Dong because they are very hard worker,they know a lot of things and they are 1 year no stop laborer of my mom.Since the funeral home branch of my brother,to our apartments and to the funeral home in tanay and now to our house.Absolutely they are highly recommended.

At 25 years of age,married.my wife’s name is Mae,by the way we got married last july 7,2007,Mae is 5 months pregnant that time.Before the wedding we keep the situation to our parents that she’s pregnant, just because she’s only 20 years old and 1 year to go before she graduate in college and her parents has a big expectation to mae so that was really a hard time for us on how to tell,but im willing to take the responsibility to her and our unborn child.I remember when Mae told me that she’s 1 month delayed and she experienced nausea and vomiting,we try the pregnancy test and its positive,it was a joy for us,imagine we created life by means of love.by 8 weeks we visit the ob-gyne,the doctor made the confirmation that Mae is pregnant but couldn’t hear the heartbeat yet. Everyday I was thinking of mae’s situation because she suffer morning sickness and her mother notices the changes in her,but she keep on telling her mom an alliby.when I told my mom the truth,I showed her the medical check up to mae and just because my mom is a nurse she knew right away what is it.it was ok to her just because she knew that mae and I had a long relationship and my 3 sibling had their own family and before that when my father is still alive my parents like Mae as to be my wife.Right after I told my mom she called right away my sister in pasig ang my brother in Chicago Il.in USA telling that im going to be married to mae.while my family is talking about the wedding,mae couldn’t find the right time to tell her parents that she’s pregnant until she finally tell it,her parents really disappointed of what happened specially that they don’t know me well,I’ve met her mom but we haven’t had a chance to talk and Id never met her father because Mae told me that hes very strict because Mae is the only girl in the siblings.I was driving with my mom going to visit our apartment in Pasig when Mae texted me that her parents want to talk to me,when I arrived at their house I saw Mae and her mother crying while her father interviewing me,asking if im going to take the responsibility,and I said yes!that night both our parents arranged the wedding.And now mae and I are husband and wife and were having a baby two months by now.
